Parliament Hill
In the canter of
town, on the Ottawa Canal, is the splendid Gothic revival Parliament Hill. The
Parliament of Canada sits in the house but is also a significant tourism
destination. Parliament Hill has comprised of three houses as well as a large
formal garden. The location of many national celebrations, demonstrations, and
exhibits is located at the complex. Tours are given in both English and French
numerous times during the day.
Rideau Canal

and the Laurier Fairmont.
National Gallery of Canada
National Gallery
of Canada is an architectural marvel of glass prism-like tower that reflects
the outlines of nearby Parliament Buildings. Galleries display native art,
track Canadian art trends from religious works to Group Seven, investigate
European Impressionism and showcase temporary exhibits in one of the largest
art museums in North America. This gallery is available for visits from 5:00 pm
to 8:00 pm Thursdays for free.
Notre-Dame Cathedral
Notre-Dame
Cathedral, ordained in 1846, is a magnificent catholic basilica. It is
particularly noteworthy for Philippe Parizeau's interior carvings of the
Mahogany and figures from the four evangelists and prophets. Particularly good
are the stained glass windows. The oldest and highest-standing church in the
